About Us

Zion Christian School has been educating students in Nampa for half a century! We are a Christ centered school that accepts all denominations and welcomes unchurched students. Half of our teaching staff have their Masters Degree. Come visit us and you will experience a warm and loving atmosphere. Our class sizes are small, so students enjoy more one-on-one time with their teachers. We continue to teach a well rounded educational program that includes handwriting, math, social studies, age appropriate technology application, spelling, vocabulary, religion, physical education and health, music, language and more. As a private school, we are able to teach the student, not "teach to the test". As a religious school, we integrate Christian morals and values throughout the day, not just in one class. History Zion Christian School started as Zion Lutheran School on August 20, 1961. At that time 57 students attended grades 1-6 and classes were taught in two rooms! Zion has taught chidren for over 45 years, so some of your friends or family may have attended classes here!

Chapel Days Chapel Days are once per week and fall on Wednesdays. Here Pastor Williams leads the children in hymns and gives Children's Sermons. Zion Christian extends an invitation to all parents, guardians or grandparents to attend Chapel with the students. Offerings are taken at Chapel and these offerings go to various groups or families in need in our community.

Winter Sports Program Such a blast! There are two programs with the Winter Sports Program:

Bogus Basin- The student may go with Zion Christian School to Bogus Basin four times per year. This program includes full day of skiing or snowboarding, rental of equipment and lessons. Parents are welcome and are encouraged to attend.

Bowling, Ice Skating and Rollerblading- For those students who do not wish to partake of the Bogus Basin program this is a fun and versital sport program designed to give a little taste of different activities.

Early Childhood Learning Center This program is developed to stimulate creativity. See Classrooms-PRE-K 3 & 4 for more information

WE BELIEVE the uniqueness of our school lies in the fact that Christian education embraces all aspects of a child's development. This Christian School provides the setting in which the Good News of God's love for all men in Christ Jesus can be taught and lived. As vehicles of the Holy Spirit, children grow in every respect: physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.

WE BELIEVE the strength of this school lies in God working through His teachers. Each of our teachers are dedicated to the total growth of the child and helps each child to develop the concepts and values necessary for a successful adult life.

WE BELIEVE Zion Christian School is an extension of the home. It is only through the cooperation of home and school that effective Christian Education takes place.
